Description: The Clown Frogfish (Antennarius maculatus), also known as the Warty Frogfish, is a Frogfish from the Indo-West Pacific. Its range extends from the Indian Ocean, Western & Eastern Indian Ocean, to the Northwest & Western Central Pacific. It grows to a size of 15 cm (59 in) in length. Antennarius maculates (Warty frogfish) uses its illicium (line) & esca (lure) to lure prey into its mouths. Its diet consists mainly of nekto, finfish & bonyfish.
